I had lunch there with some coworkers. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was fast. I had the salmon rice dish. It was very good. I like lemonade (theirs is a little on the sweet side) and the waiter refilled my glass twice, even before I was done. Overall, the service was above average! The decor is very open with wood and a large bar. Like all places, hard surfaces, so kind of loud in there... I will go back..

Solid option in this new, and developing commercial district. Cool, open vibe. A number of large screen TVs. We had a decent-sized group of 7, and the large booths accommodated, smartly. This was a lunch-time visit. Service was quick, attentive, and friendly. Food was a-ok. I went with an Asian chicken salad. I think that might have been the weak dish, at our group. No real seasoning. Sort of shredded ice berg lettuce. Chicken was soft but dry ... can't call it tender if it's dry. The risotto and scallops looked pretty good, though. Next time, I'd probably go for a burger, or something like that.

I would skip The Loop for brunch. Other meals it s great, but eggs, hash browns and hollandaise seem to befuddle the kitchen. I will admit hash browns make or break brunch for me and The Loop has about the worse hash browns in the Twin Cities -- mushy, not crispy, and tasteless. The second time I was there I even asked them to prepare them extra crispy to see if that would help. Nope. My wife struggled with their gelatinous hollandaise while I struggled with the velvetta like cheese sauce on the chilaquiles. For lunch or dinner it's the place in the West End we go thanks to its great outdoor seating. But brunch? Meh!

The Loop was highly recommended by a friend so I went to check it out with my boyfriend on a Saturday night around 8:30PM. We called ahead to get reservations in case they were packed but definitely didn't need them, tons of seating! VIBE | Incredible atmosphere! I love the look! Really modern with just enough rustic charm, clean lines and plenty of tv's to catch any game you want. The crowd consisted of couples, some groups of friends and a bachelorette party.. but seemed pretty low key. SERVICE | Our server was prompt, checked on us the perfect amount and was knowledgable about the menu. the staff as a whole was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered our food - my boyfriend ordered a side salad and it never came. He ended up eating the salad that came with my food so we never mentioned it and she didn't either - one of my biggest pet peeves. FOOD | I ordered the special of the night, Coconut Shrimp with a vinaigrette salad on the side. The shrimp were good - nothing spectacular but I'd order it again, fairly priced. my boyfriend ordered the Mahi-Mahi which came with vegetables it wasn't very much food at all for the larger price tag and was "fine." All in all, I'm glad we checked it out. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to go back but if I was near there I'd try it again.

If I could give half stars, it would be 3.5 stars. I've been to the other Loop in the north loop, but only for drinks, not food. Came in here for HH drinks with a girlfriend before book club. It was a gorgeous day and we were able to get a great table outside, but in the shade. Our server was great, knew a lot about the menu. I harassed her about the menu, asking a thousand questions like I usually do before settling on the mahi mahi. My girlfriend got calamari, and we both got wine. My fish was dry and not very flavorful, but the carrots and peppers it came with were great. The sauce was boring, and the egg roll was a little weird, very salty. It was decent though, and I could tell fairly healthy (except the egg roll). I did eat it all. The space was cool. HH wine was cheap, $4 a glass.

Menu is uninspired but food was tasty. Went Monday for lunch. Fish tacos were good and pizza was good but basic. Don't come if you want inspiration or something NEW!

Hip atmosphere, great service, but only so-so food. The location is perfect for us western burb dwellers. On a weeknight I'm not adventurous enough to travel downtown but the West End is right within range. I arrived at 5pm on a Wednesday to slide in before happy hour closed down at 630pm. The place was packed, not crotch to butt packed because they have lots of open space, but all of the tables were full so we waited about 15 mins. The clientele for happy hour is what you would expect, lots of young professionals mixed in with old guys in business trips wearing pinstripe suits. The decor made me think I was at Restoration Hardware, it was pretty hip for sure. The server was a highlight of our visit. Paige accommodated us with quick drink service, quiet checkins, and fast bill paying. She wasn't quite sure how to describe the style of pizza that they serve but I'll forgive that. The food certainly could have better. I'm a huge pizza fanatic to say the least, but the pizza here is unacceptable in my eyes. They do have a fake wood oven, with "logs" in the back, but it's all gas. It is certainly possible to get great pizza with a gas oven, but the crust was just terrible. Flat, lacking any flavor but sugar, it could easily be folded but added nothing to the toppings. The toppings were not high quality. I couldn't tell the difference between this sausage and anything you could get at dominos pizza. Too bad, they have a dedicated pizza station and two piazzaiolos ready to make artisan pizzas, but the dough recipe just isn't there. The curry wings were the highlight of my happy hour. Good moist chicken and the flavor was spot on. I could taste a bit of Garam Marsala but it could have had more for sure. It would be nice if they offered a curry wing dipping sauce vs blue cheese or ranch. The final thing I ate was fish tacos, which were ok but not something I would get again. Overall, great place to meet after work, see and be seen, or to grab bar food. I wouldn't consider this as any type of destination for fine dining, and I would stay away from the pizza.

Great appetizer menu. Definitely try the buffalo chicken wontons. And nachos. Great beer selection. Only downside is a lot of drunks hang out here. So, may be a better late night spot rather than a nice peaceful dinner.

This review is for their happy hour and it was fun since we sat outside in the sun! They have a great $4 Pinot Grigio and all the appetizers were $3 off. We shared the calamari and the steak lettuce wraps and both were tasty. The calamari came with a really good chili dipping sauce. The steak was tender and had a great marinade. The lettuce wraps also came with guacamole! The service was also good and prompt. I will be adding this to my list of favorite happy hour places and definitely recommend it!

The Fully Loaded Blue Burger was fabulous! Great service. The bun was especially good. The side Caesar Salad was also really good. Prices are fair. We'd go back in a heart beat.

Great restaurant in the West End! I came by for lunch with a coworker and enjoyed the turkey burger sans bun...yummy! It was absolutely delicious! Beautiful restaurant in a convenient location with great service - a definite be back when I am visiting our office in Minneapolis again.

Good addition to the west end. Fits great price wise with the other restaurants and fills a niche with it's more casual setting and bar food menu that's been lacking from the area. All that said, I wish everything else matched up. The food was beautiful, we ordered the juicy loopy and the sesame crusted tuna sandwich, but looks can be deceiving. The food was a solid B-, wouldn't be disappointed to eat there again but probably wont seek it out either. The tuna sandwich was markedly better than the juicy loopy. The crust on the tuna was great and well balanced and the steak was cooked as ordered but there was nothing unique or exciting about the sandwich. The burger on the other hand was disappointing. When the french fries outshine a juicy lucy, something isn't right. The main problem was not being able to find any cheese inside the burger (WTF) which is the entire reason to order it in the first place. The fries had a garlic and rosemary seasoning that was delicious. The service was frustrating, I would be willing to go back if I was heading to the west end since the food was good but not great and try something different on the menu. The service might keep me from giving the Loop that second chance. Our waitress was MIA after we ordered, and I ended up waiting for close to 10 minutes to get mustard from the runner when our food was delivered. It would've been nice if our server stopped by to check on our food before we had finished eating, we couldn't even find her to flag her down and ask for anything. All in all the loop is alright, a good place to gather before or after a movie with a great bar and a good tap list. If I was going to the west end for dinner, i'd probably go to one of the other options.

Stopped in for drinks, appetizers, and dinner with some colleagues from work. For apps we had buffalo chicken wontons, which were very good, and tenderloin tip skewers, which were a little overdone. I had the Juicy Loopy burger for dinner. While I didn't expect the Loop's take on a Minnesota classic to be on par with Matt's Juicy Lucy, it fell well below my expectations. The scene was vibrant and the service was prompt - maybe a great happy hour hang. I wanted to love this place, but it fell short.

I tried this place out on Friday to celebrate my birthday with a friend. They have a really great happy hour that lasts until 6:30 which is awesome. They have $4 house wine, half off pizzas and $3 off apps. We tried the pot roast quesadilla and the blackened quinoa salad. The quesadilla was great, I'd order that again. The salad was just okay. Not very much chicken and they sliced up raw jalapeno peppers which I did not enjoy. It just burned your mouth and the only flavor you got was hot. I like the vibe here and I think it's a great addition to the area! The decor and layout is much better for groups as well!

4.5. Came here after fairly good salads for dinner at a nearby bar. Not wanting to go home on a beautiful eve, we walked around for a bit, and there was an open table. Why not! 16 TVs inside for any game you want! Outdoor patio quiet with 2 TVs for any game. Ordered pulled pork quesadilla ... Beyond delish! Specialty drinks fabulous! Decent beer selection (it's no Yardhouse)... And truly great service! Will definitely come back!

Did you miss the experience of growing up in a small town then going to college in a medium sized city and discovering that the bar in said medium sized city is pathetic? If so than this is your place. This disgusting excuse of a bar occupies the space that "Ringo" once lived. No not the Beatle that no one liked; the other pathetic restaurant that no one liked and failed here. Once you figure out how to park in a complex designed by dope smoking children of hippies that loath cars, you can negotiate the slender sidewalks occupied by suburbanites that were told this area was "cool". Yaaaay you are on your way! Once you enter this creepy dive you will smell the stench of failure. Failure of a bar concept, failure of dreams college students once had only to find themselves working here. But wait there's more: Apparently there are "regulars". These cretins have a "rapport" with the bar staff. In fact they have thier own language. It consists of a combination of guttural wheezes and vague head movements. This form of communication produces giant shots of tequila that are not documented but quickly consumed. Scan the menu and you might consider such delicacies as; fish tacos, pork sliders... (that's not just a menu item, she was sitting next to me) or that rare appetizer... Wait for it... Nachos! That's right nachos! Hey, Bennigans is calling from 1985 they want their innovation back! If you like to smell dirty bars, and the stench of failure than don't miss this mess. The only reason it got one star is because zero or negative are not options. Unless you run this joint.

The worst service ever. After being seated at the table we received no attention from the wait staff. After about 8 minutes we asked the host who apologized and had a waiter come over. The table that got seated next to us also had no service and left the restaurant after ten minutes. To make matters worse, there were wait staff hanging around and lots of empty tables so no excuses for them whatsoever.

Food is great and the atmosphere is awesome. I went with a group of 5 including me and our food came out much faster than we expected and was delicious. Or waitress, Jordan, was super sweet and fantastic. I'll definitely be back!

Really cool place! They let us reserve a couple of tables and bring decorations for my brother's birthday party. The decor is awesome, and all of the staff was very attentive and friendly. Dance floor was awesome, and the deejay was really good!

The loop has finally come to the west end. Unfortunately it is basically figlios without two dollar beers. The management is clueless, employees untrained, menu boring. Bring figlios back! Long live figlios!

Meh. Server didn't know her whiskeys (not a significant list to remember anyway). Appetizers were meh. Atmosphere not memorable. Service on the overbearing side but nothing nasty. Too many alternatives to return here.

A nice addition to the West End! The bar stools are so comfy, I felt like I was sitting on a cloud and the crowd was fun and diverse. Even though it was packed, service was spot on.

Great atmosphere and food! The West End needed a place like this. I had the New York strip steak and it was fantastic! My son had the Cuban, and of course I had to try a bite of that too. It was drlicious! Can't wait to go again!
